CK Food Hub - 2024 Capital Project

CK growth will always include unifying, uplifting and increasing community connections.

Community Kitchens was awarded $2.4 million in capital funding to build a food hub in Alameda County District 3. Our CK Food Hub will honor the legacy of Wilma Chan and promote Alameda County’s ‘All In Eats’ circular food economy. We are building a state-of-the-art electric kitchen that will be a model commercial kitchen for the restaurant industry and lead change for more climate friendly kitchen designs. This new facility will enable us to dramatically increase our community meal programs, as well as create job training and entrepreneurial incubator programs to uplift underserved community members.
